Recently, Denim News posted a great clip about an emergent denim brand from North Carolina called Raleigh Denim. The company was literally started by a young couple making super-premium jeans in their apartment. The product was so good that Barney's NY jumped on it. While the jeans themselves are $300+, constructed of raw denim and super tough to come by, the video above gives you a good sense of just how much thought and effort goes into making any special pair of jeans. We think that Raleigh's to local sourcing is also inspiring in these economic times. Maybe we'll be fortunate to carry Raleigh Denim someday.
